California Star Promotion Terms and Conditions
1. The Promoter is Gate Pty Ltd ABN 13 082 107 088 of registered office address: 235A Crown St Surry Hills NSW 2010 and Visit California of registered office address: 235A Crown St Surry Hills NSW 2010. The above-mentioned companies will be hereafter jointly referred to as the ‘Promoter.’

2. Promotion is open to all Australian-based wholesale and retail travel consultants employed by an IATA approved travel company.

3. Winner will have completed California STAR’s three (3) “Essential” & eight (8) “Specialisation” modules or if the entrant has completed the above training modules prior to entering the promotion, they should complete seven (7) " Partner Mini Modules" and answered the promotion question "Tell us in 25 words or less what you would most love to do in California.

4. The prize is $5,000 AUD worth of travel activities within California USA. The winner will select the travel activities and notify the promoter for booking/purchase on their behalf.

5. Employees of the Promoter or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to enter the competition.

6. To enter the competition an entrant must enter their details and answer the question at the promotion website https://gate7.com.au/california-star-promotion/ and then register and complete the California Star training program at www.star.visitcalifornia.com. Entrants already registered with California Star must complete the seven (7) destination-specific mini modules.

7. Closing date for entry will be 4pm (AEDT) Friday 30th September 2022. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted. The California Star training program or additional seven (7) mini modules must be completed by this time for entries to be valid.

8. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

9. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the Promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the Promoter.

10. The Promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.

11. No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable.

12. Winner will selected at 235A Crown St Surry Hills on Monday 3rd October 2022.

13. The winner will be notified by email and/or letter within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

14. The Promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected.

15. The Promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

15. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her/their acceptance and agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

16. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Australian law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.

17. The winner agrees to the use of his/her/their name and image in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current Australian data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

18. The winner’s name will be published on our website www.gate7.com.au.

19. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other Social Network. You are providing your information to the Promoter and not to any other party.
