Carnaval San Francisco
This is San Francisco’s version of Mardi Gras and one of the city’s largest annual public events, located in the Mission District. From May 23 to 25, the event features exotic Carnaval dancers with a mixture of Latino, jazz, samba, and Caribbean influences. A festive parade on Sunday morning draws upon broad cultural pageantry.
The 2026 theme is “La Copa del Pueblo”, the People’s Cup, a vibrant celebration of fútbol’s true heartbeat: the people who play it, love it, and live it. Great theme and timing just ahead of the FIFA World Cup games.
