Cherry Blossom Festival in Japantown

This annual festival is one of California’s most prominent celebrations of Asian traditions. Two consecutive weekends of performances, crafts, food, martial arts and exhibitions. A colourful parade will be held starting at the Civic Center and ending in Japantown. The 2026 edition of the Festival will happen over two weekends: April 11-12 and 18-19. Scheduled events include, cultural activities including bonsai and doll-making lessons, tea ceremonies, Japanese dance, and even pet-owner meet-ups! There’s also special ticketed receptions, spiritual ceremonies, and more with the grand parade, occurring on the final Sunday of the Festival.
