Wawa Welcome America

There’s no better place to celebrate July 4th than Philadelphia — the birthplace of America! Wawa Welcome America— the largest Independence Day celebration in the country— is an epic, two-week citywide festival that honors the diverse stories of all Americans through art, culture, wellness, and history. Throughout the festival, visitors can expect dozens of free events, including concerts, free museum days, parades, fireworks, and more! The celebration culminates on July 4th with a headlining concert on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and stunning fireworks over the Philadelphia Art Museum.​

For its 35th year, this year’s Wawa Welcome America will be the biggest one yet with an all-star lineup of performers, including DJ Jazzy Jeff, Eve, Queen Latifah, Idina Menzel, Kirk Franklin, and many more. Pope Leo XIV will also be presented with the Liberty Medal on July 3 at the Vatican from the National Constitution Center — the medal presentation will be live-streamed in Philadelphia.
