The 100 unique dishes have been curated from a flood of nominations by the Auckland public and a panel of well-known Aucklanders, including chefs and food writers. Each nominated dish was assessed against set criteria, including how loved it is, how it represents local culture and people, if it’s a ‘timeless classic’ or considered a ‘signature dish’. The first 50 submissions are by well-known Aucklanders, including celebrity chefs, food writers and keen foodies.
