Aunty Judy’s Apple Cake Recipe

A cake you won’t find in Amy’s shop, but which she’d love you to try at home, is ‘Aunty Judy’s Apple Cake’ recipe. Amy says “I love this recipe! Super simple and delicious, made with six ingredients that are most likely already in your kitchen”.

Ingredients
• 1.5 cup self-raising flour
• 1/2 cup caster sugar
• 1 egg
• 125g melted butter
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 400g cooked apples
• Cinnamon sugar to finish

Method
1.  In a bowl, mix your flour, sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla. Be sure to give it a good stir

2.  Add two-thirds of the mixture into a baking dish. Top with the apples followed by the remaining mix

3.  Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes

4.  Top with the cinnamon sugar

5.  Serve with thickened cream, or ice, cream, or custard (also delicious on its own!)
