Katsuura Onsen 

A seaside hot spring in Wakayama, Katsuura Onsen has transformed from a fishing port to a hot spring resort. There are multiple onsens available in the village especially in hotels, ryokan or by the water. Most days, you can see fishermen from the onsen fishing for the seafood delicacies offered at local restaurants.

Yunomine Onsen 

Located close to the World Heritage Kumano Kodo trails, Yunomine Onsen is known for its healing waters and offers as a great pairing to the trail for post-hike relaxation. It is one of Japan’s oldest onsens and the only UNESCO-listed hot spring globally.
