Where to Spot Celebrities in West Hollywood

Equally startling and exciting, you’ll find it ordinary in West Hollywood to rub shoulders with the famous and infamous faces of big and little screens. See your beloved celebs and reality stars in their natural urban habitats.

Even the rich and famous need spots to grab a coffee, stay for a drink, or unwind and party. Here are some of West Hollywood’s most frequented spots:

Urth Caffe gets more than its fair share of celebrity clientele. Stars like Miley Cyrus, Jessica Alba, Larry King, Queen Latifah and Katy Perry have dined here. Perhaps the most well-known use of Urth, however, has been in the television series Entourage, which filmed more than a few episodes at this location.

Craig’s – The place to see reality tv stars, athletes and their bevies of women, working class men who want to feel like millionaires for a night; this is where they come.  Recent spottings include baseball star Alex Rodriguez, reality star Khourtney Kardashian, and model Emily Ratajowski.

Alfred Coffee – It seems like to-go cups from this West Hollywood café are permanently affixed to the hands of the Kardashians, Kylie Jenner, Selena Gomez, and other young stars.

Cecconi’s, which straddles the corner of trendy Melrose Avenue and posh Robertson Boulevard, never lacks for a famous guest soaking up sun on the front patio or hiding in a corner booth indoors. Once you get over the dazzling display of Aston Martins, Ferraris and Lamborghinis in the valet, you’ll see such celebrities as Vera Wang, Gwen Stefani, Ellen Degeneres, George Lucas and Drake.

Sunset Marquis has played host to more than a few members of rock ‘n’ roll royalty including Jimi Hendrix, U2 and the Foo Fighters. The hotel’s basement boasts a world-class recording studio, NightBird Studios, where talented musicians including Madonna, Elton John, Aerosmith and Carrie Underwood have recorded their albums.

Sunset Tower Hotel, located on the legendary Sunset Strip. Few West Hollywood locales have a revolving door of celebrities as extensive – Jennifer Aniston had her 50th here recently.

Millions of Milkshakes – When celebrities visit the store, they create their own smoothie or milkshake based on their preferences, and the parlour names the drink after them and puts it on the menu! Stars also often stay for meet-and-greets, photos and autographs when they’re done. Big names that have made their own drink include Miley Cyrus, Heidi & Spencer Pratt, Perez Hilton, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, Lil Kim and Lindsay Lohan.

Sur Lounge, owned by Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Lisa Vanderpump. Gerard Butler and Perez Hilton are regulars.

Nice Guy – Kendall had her 20th birthday there, Kylie had one of her many 18th birthday parties there, and why all the Jenners, Kardashians, Hadids, Baldwins, and Justin Bieber are spotted there just about every weekend.  it’s super dimly lit (a tribute to The Rat Pack) and feels like you’re inside one big private party, even if you aren’t invited to the most VIP booth.  Live like you’re in a Kardashian Instagram photo by booking a reservation at The Nice Guy here. (Walk-ins are not welcomed.) And make sure you dress the part, because that door doesn’t mess around.

Mondrian Hotel, the location of world-famous Sky Bar on the hotel pool deck. This is the site of many special events, A-list parties and casual celebrity sightings. The Mondrian’s exclusive VIP Sunset Strip Music Festival after party included guests Marilyn Manson, Joe Madden, Nicole Richie and Audrina Patridge.

Catch LA has a slick rooftop, a creative seafood menu and delicious cocktails. The paparazzi wait outside hoping to get a photo of Mariah Carey, Justin Bieber, Jamie Foxx, Kylie Jenner, David Beckham or another of its celebrity clientele.

Delilah,  A favourite of Justin Bieber, Casey Affleck, Michelle Williams, Kendall Jenner, Vince Vaughn, Taylor Lautner, Lamar Odom and more. Kendall and Drake have both thrown themselves birthdays here. So many celebs cut a rug at this Gatsby-esque spot that management had to ban all photography inside the doors.
