Virginia is for Luxury Lovers

A slate of new luxury accommodation offerings opening in Virginia this summer promise visitors distinctly elegant and historically relevant experiences that simply can’t be found anywhere else.

A pet-friendly secluded property in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, Primland Resort sets a high bar when it comes to luxury. In addition to the posh rooms in the main building and private cottages with every amenity you’d expect from a top resort, Primland boasts palatial yet rustic “treehouse” cabins (not pet-friendly) that are built around the solid branches of the treetops, offering majestic views of the Kibler Valley and the mountains beyond.

Recently reopened after a multi-million dollar renovation, The Cavalier evokes memories of the Roaring ’20s, with an old-world grandeur and southern charm that is absolutely timeless. Originally opened in 1927, the historic building now houses a bourbon distillery, the only hotel in the United States to have an on-site distillery. Additionally, the hotel has three upscale restaurants, a full-service spa, beautiful saltwater pools, a private beach club, and bar.

Keswick Hall, slated to re-open in Summer 2021 after a multi-year renovation and expansion, will offer visitors a premier luxury experience just minutes from downtown Charlottesville. The property will feature 80 luxurious guest rooms and suites, a new spa, and a new signature restaurant run by famed chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. The resort will still feature its renowned Full Cry golf course, designed by Pete Dye.

Nicewonder Farm & Vineyards in Bristol will be opening the Nicewonder Inn in Summer 2021. This 28-room luxury boutique inn will boast inviting common areas, a world-class culinary and wine program, and beautifully appointed rooms.

The Liberty Trust, originally constructed as a bank headquarters in 1910 in downtown Roanoke, is currently undergoing a full historic restoration as part of its transformation into a 54-room luxury lifestyle hotel slated to open in late-summer 2021.
