    Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser and the Louisiana State Museum will unveil a new exhibition, Botanica: Gardens, Landscapes, and Plant Medicines in South Louisiana. The exhibition explores the cultural meaning of Louisiana's connections to plants with long lasting relationships to the region and the world, weaving together historical understandings with evolving contemporary practices. Collaborating with herbalists, artists, and gardeners to explore the complex stories of past and present gardens and natural environments from nineteenth-century parterres to the Grow Dat Youth Farm of City Park in New Orleans.

  • 2025 Is the Year of Food in Louisiana
    The Louisiana Office of Tourism (LOT) and Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser have announced that 2025 will be celebrated as the Year of Food in Louisiana.
