Beauregard Parish Fair
Now in its 96th year, the Beauregard Parish Fair celebrates farm living, family, and fellowship with classic fair fun. Expect agricultural exhibits, rides, food, live entertainment, and plenty of small-town charm at this long-running community tradition.


Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival
Celebrate one of Louisiana’s sweetest traditions at the annual Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival. The multi-day event features street fairs, fais do-do’s, the Coronation of Queen Sugar, Blessing of the Crop, sugar cookery, photo and art exhibits, plus both the Louisiana Sugar Cane Parade and a children’s parade.

Gueydan Duck Festival
Celebrate Cajun culture and Louisiana’s hunting heritage at the Gueydan Duck Festival, returning 23-24 August 2025. Known as the “Duck Capital of America,” Gueydan hosts this lively annual event featuring duck and goose calling contests, dog trials, decoy carving, skeet shooting, and classic Southern cooking. Expect live music, pageants, a grand parade, and a vibrant carnival – all capturing the region’s trademark joie de vivre.


The Baton Rouge Underground Film Festival

Delcambre Shrimp Festival
The Delcambre Shrimp Festival in Louisiana celebrates the region’s rich shrimping heritage yearly. 14th Annual BBQ Bash in Morgan City, Louisiana
Get ready for a sizzling weekend at the 14th Annual BBQ Bash in Morgan City, Louisiana, taking place under the bridge and hosted by the St. Mary Detachment Marine Corps League. This much-loved event brings together top local and regional cooking teams for a smoky showdown, paired with live music, arts and crafts, and, of course, mouth-watering barbecue. It’s a full-flavour celebration of Southern hospitality and culinary flair.


Fireworks on the River
Celebrate the fourth of July in Krotz Springs, Louisiana, a charming town along the scenic Atchafalaya River known for its outdoor adventures. On July 4th, the community gathers at Nall Park for a festive evening filled with live music from JC Melancon & The Bayou Rock Band, delicious bites like watermelon and hot dogs, and a dazzling fireworks display hosted by the Volunteer Fire Department. Bring your lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and coolers for a relaxed, family-friendly night under the stars.


St. Landry BBQ Festival
St. Landry Parish Government will host the St. Landry BBQ Fest over the Fourth of July weekend. The festival kicks off on Friday, June 20, with a live performance by Hotline Band, followed by a full weekend of entertainment from a variety of local artists and bands. The celebration wraps up on Sunday, June 22, with a large fireworks display to mark the end of the festivities.


Louisiana Peach Festival
Get ready for the 2025 festival of the year in Louisiana! Join us in Ruston, LA, for the 75th Annual Louisiana Peach Festival, where you can experience local flavors, art, music, and culture. Founded by local peach farmers in 1951, this beloved festival has attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors to Lincoln Parish over the past 70 years. It’s a family-friendly event that celebrates Ruston’s local talent and delicious peaches. Enjoy live music, browse craft vendors, participate in activities for all ages, and indulge in plenty of peaches!


Washington Parish Balloon Festival
The Washington Parish Balloon Festival returns from 30 May to 1 June 2025, bringing a weekend of family-friendly fun to Louisiana. Enjoy dazzling hot air balloon glows, tethered rides, and full balloon flights, plus live music, a carnival, craft vendors, and local food. This year’s event also features a rodeo, adding a Southern twist to the celebration. Whether you’re there for the skies or the sights, it’s a weekend you won’t want to miss.


Fall Harvest Festival
The Fall Harvest Festival takes place on the two weekends following Thanksgiving day. This is a time to load up the family and spend a day “down on the farm”. While you are visiting us, you will see the donkey working an old time cane press. Take a trip to the kitchen where we serve homemade biscuits, syrup, sausage and milk gravy. After, you can return to the outdoors and listen to some blue grass and gospel music or take the children to the petting zoo. If arts and crafts interest you we have that too! After you have seen everything and would like to sit for a while, take a ride on the hay wagon.


Barbecue & Bourbon on the Bayou Festival
The BBQ and Bourbon on the Bayou event is an amazing one-of-a-kind event for Thibodaux and surrounding communities! Smokey barbecue and great music will fill the autumn air as you warm up with samples of the best bourbon. There will be local and regional barbecue vendors, each providing a variety of different dishes and flavours. Over 30 of the best bourbon suppliers will be lined up, ready to serve samples and sell tastings while answering your questions on their distilleries.


NOLA Zydeco Festival
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Mississippi River attendees will be treated to live performances by Zydeco bands from Southwest Louisiana, infusing the air with rhythm and energy with dance classes between each musical act!
Indulge your taste buds with Louisiana cuisine, featuring classic dishes of Creole and Cajun cooking. Browse through cultural and craft vendors showcasing local goods, including handmade crafts, artwork, and unique souvenirs.


State Fair of Louisiana
The State Fair of Louisiana is educational, entertaining, and perfect for family fun. Visitors can explore Louisiana agriculture exhibits, enjoy free attractions, live music, a free zoo, carnival rides, games, delicious foods, and the state’s largest livestock show. Additionally, the fair hosts the action-packed LRCA Finals Rodeo, ensuring an exciting experience for all.


World Championship Gumbo Cookoff
Family-oriented food festival in historic downtown New Iberia. Gumbo Cookoff, Roux Run, Youth Gumbo Cookoff, Meanest Beans Competition, children’s activities, live music all weekend and more. Cajun/Creole food midday on Saturday, nothing but gumbo midday on Sunday.


Louisiana Cattle Festival
The Louisiana Cattle Festival & Fair honours all aspects of the state’s cattle industry, encompassing beef and dairy producers, consumers and everything in between through three days of family-friendly music, art & crafts, rib eating contest, food and fun!


NOLA Coffee Festival
Join us to celebrate all things coffee at the largest coffee event in the South. We host coffee professionals and culinary enthusiast foodies for a two-day celebration of America’s most beloved beverage. Coffee farmers will be on hand to showcase green coffee. More than 20 Louisiana coffee roasters will sample their best coffees and coffee experts will lead over 60 hours of professional coffee education and demonstrations. Industry leaders will demonstrate new equipment as well as new recipes for coffee infused beverages.

Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser and the Louisiana State Museum will unveil a new exhibition, Botanica: Gardens, Landscapes, and Plant Medicines in South Louisiana. The exhibition explores the cultural meaning of Louisiana's connections to plants with long lasting relationships to the region and the world, weaving together historical understandings with evolving contemporary practices. Collaborating with herbalists, artists, and gardeners to explore the complex stories of past and present gardens and natural environments from nineteenth-century parterres to the Grow Dat Youth Farm of City Park in New Orleans.

2025 Is the Year of Food in Louisiana
The Louisiana Office of Tourism (LOT) and Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser have announced that 2025 will be celebrated as the Year of Food in Louisiana.
