Louis Armstrong: Odeith | Corner of Elm Tree Lane and Corral Streets

Celebrating the storied musical past of Lexington’s east end, this 30 by 70-foot Louis Armstrong mural was painted by renowned graffiti artist Sérgio Odeith after his first Lexington mural was accidentally power- washed away

Anita Franklin: Keaton Young | Duncan Park

Anita Franklin became a fierce community advocate after losing her son to gun violence. She later joined the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and worked tirelessly to spread the message and the need for community dialogue around the reduction of gun violence.

The Elwood Hotel Alixandra Jade | 444 Parkway Drive

Art is an important factor in creating a bespoke design., Hilda Delgado, along with her husband, David Bader, created Elwood Hotel to reflect its Lexington location. Working with LexArts, Delgado and Bader received close to 200 applications for the exterior mural. They chose Canadian artist Alixandra Jade. Jade also hand-painted a mural in the conservatory and artwork throughout the corridors on each floor.

The Elwood Hotel Eduardo Cobra | E.Main Street

The mural was created by Brazilian street artist Eduardo Kobra in 2013. USA Today describes the work as a “colorful kaleidoscope depiction” of the former president.

Where Dreams Come From Herakut | Cnr of North Limestone and East Sixth

This block of North Limestone has become an artistic hub in itself. The placement of this mural is striking and can be seen from blocks away. This piece, along with another, painted by artists Jasmin ‘Hera’ Siddiqui and Falk ‘Akut’ Lehman, were the first instalments of a children’s book project centering around Lily, who is a ‘stubborn little girl’.
