Move Over, Napa Valley… Augusta in Missouri has a Brand-New Wine Region

Wine aficionados originally flocked to Napa Valley, California, but soon Augusta, Missouri, will be on their radar.

Investors David & Jerri Hoffmann have poured over $100 million into the region to develop the ultimate wine experience. The 700+ acquired acres will feature multiple wineries, golfing, a five-star resort, sightseeing tours aboard a yacht, trolley transportation between venues, paddleboat tours of the Missouri River, and more. Currently, luxury yacht cruises are departing out of St. Charles while the dock is being built in Augusta. The wine region sits along the Katy Trail, the longest-developed rail-trail in the U.S.
