The Ultimate Trip for College and Pro Sports Fans

No matter which sports are in season, in North Carolina, there are several museums, halls of fame and other notable attractions that honour the state’s rich sports heritage and create excitement year-round.

Start in Raleigh with a visit to the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame, which celebrates some of the state’s most storied athletes. Next check out the ACC Hall of Champions in Greensboro, which tells the story of the founding of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).

Make your way to Uptown Charlotte to visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame where you must check out the Glory Road exhibit: 18 race-used cars surrounding the Great Hall on a roadbed that shows the style and grade of tracks from NASCAR’s not-too-distant past to its present.

And you can’t visit North Carolina without attending a sports game – The Carolina Panthers play just a few blocks away at Bank of America Stadium (August to December), and any of their home games are a guaranteed good time. You can even take a behind-the-scenes tour of the Carolina Panthers football stadium!

Plus, the Uptown stadium plays host to two major college football games each December: the ACC Football Championship and the Duke’s Mayo Bowl.
