FAQs
Celestyal Cruises is the pre-eminent cruise line serving the Greek Islands and East Mediterranean. The company operates two mid-sized vessels, each one cosy enough to provide genuine and highly personalised services.
The foundation of the company’s philosophy is the ‘destination.’ Every cruise focuses on true cultural immersion, offering authentic, lifetime experiences both on board and on shore wherever its vessels sail.
Celestyal Cruises are home-ported in Athens, Greece, and sail to a wide range of destinations in the Greek Islands and the Eastern Mediterranean.
The Greek Islands and Eastern Mediterranean are year-round destinations.
Cruising from their home port of Athens makes Celestyal cruises incredibly accessible to travellers. A wide range of Australian and international airlines connect flights to Athens.
In 2019, Celestyal Cruises took two groups of Australian media in March and November. We’re looking to run more famils in 2020. Feel free to register your interest to stay updated.
Celestyal Cruises is the only authentically Greek-owned company that cruises the Greek Islands. What better way to see the islands in the hands of Greeks?
The cultural experience pervades every aspect of your on-board experience, from culinary offerings through to activities both on and off the ship. Expect Greek food, barbecues, dancing lessons, and cooking lessons as a small taste.
There are two main Celestyal ships, the Olympia and the Crystal. Olympia hosts 1664 guests and Crystal hosts 1452 guests. Both ships are quite similar, and won’t greatly impact guests’ experience.s
The benefit of smaller vessels is that they can reach smaller, harder-to-access ports, and can spend more time in port. Celestyal Cruises are not a luxury cruise company, but will suit those who are looking for a comfortable, affordable, authentically Greek trip, that heroes the destinations rather than the ship.
Celestyal Cruises’ Iconic Aegean route is the perfect sampler for the Greek islands – a great trip if you’ve never been to the islands or want to explore a range of destinations.
Routes sail to well-known islands such as Mykonos, Satorini, Patmos, Milos, and historically rich destination such as Rhodes, and Crete. Of course, all Celestyal ships depart from Athens, a city rich in history, culture and modern cosmopolitan experiences.
