North Lake Tahoe is a 45-minute drive from Reno-Tahoe Airport or a three-hour drive from San Francisco.
North Lake Tahoe is made up of Incline Village, Truckee, Tahoe City, Crystal Bay, Carnelian Bay, Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, Northstar, Kings Beach, Tahoe Vista, Donner Summit and the West Shore
North Lake Tahoe have the highest concentration of ski resorts in North American including Northstar, Palisades Tahoe (formally Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows) , Mt Rose and Diamond Peak.

WinterWonderGrass-Tahoe
Mark your calendars for the Thursday Kick-off Show followed by a weekend of music, brews, and mountains with bluegrass and americana favourites. Inside the venue, you will find an open-air outdoor mainstage, three side, plus daily beer, whiskey, and spiked seltzer complimentary tastings. The lineup will satisfy all audiences with 25 bands across 4 stages, including WinterWonderGrass veterans, Trampled by Turtles and Greensky Bluegrass, with newcomers Marcus King, The Main Squeeze, and The Lone Bellow.
Stifel Palisades Tahoe Cup
The men return to the storied Olympic venue Palisades Tahoe in 2023, which hosted the Olympic Winter Games in 1960, for a giant slalom and slalom at the Stifel Palisades Tahoe Cup, part of the Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup. The mountain’s challenging terrain and dedication to snow sports have produced countless Olympians and World Cup champions since then, with seven Team Palisades Tahoe athletes currently on the Stifel U.S. Alpine Ski Team.
33rd Annual Tahoe Chocolate and Wine Festival
A decadent evening that will have your mouth watering. Celebrate the achievements of Sierra Community House with an evening of delicious chocolate creations, wine tasting, delectable appetizers, incredible music, exciting auctions, and an engaging agenda. Join us for theme for this year of Glitter and Gold and enjoy a glamourous and wonderful evening.
Tahoe City Oktoberfest
The fun celebration of beer, music, dance and food returns on Sept. 30. The traditional Oktoberfest event features authentic German beer and Bavarian music and dance, as well as games and live entertainment. Authentic brats and pretzels, European desserts and pastries, and root beer floats for the kids make this an excellent event for all ages.
Mexican Heritage Festival
An all-immersive Mexican Celebration. Enjoy all the fun with exciting live performances, unique arts n crafts, endless food and drinks, traditional Mexican games and a captivating parade as the annual Festival comes to life once more.
Brews, Jazz and Funk Fest
At the Brews, Jazz and Funk Fest, you can sip on a wide array of tasty beers from more than 10 different breweries, as well as enjoy an incredible lineup of music on multiple stages from ALO, Monophonics and Sal’s Greenhouse. All proceeds from the event benefit the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe.
Lake Tahoe Reggae Festival
Enjoy a dozen-plus band performances and more at the 6th annual Lake Tahoe Reggae Festival. Among the scheduled bands are Rebelution, The Expendables, Pipe Down, Pepper, Stick Figure, Iya Terra and Claire Wright.
Classical Tahoe
Experience a summer of wonderful music by the lake on the Sierra Nevada University campus. The Classical Tahoe Ricardi Pavilion is the site of outdoor orchestra, jazz and chamber music concerts by some of the leading classical musicians. Children will delight to the sounds of the Family Concert and Music Makers Faire, held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on July 30, with proceeds benefiting the festival’s educational programs.
